Matt Bergman discovered his passion for comedy during his final year of college while pursuing a degree in criminal justice—only to realize after graduating that he was afraid of criminals and better suited for the stage. That decision paid off, leading to TV appearances on Gotham Comedy Live, Comedy Central Live, Dry Bar Comedy, and an Amazon Prime special. Relatable and versatile, Bergman released his latest album, Mostly Nice, on Rhizome Records, which is now streaming on SiriusXM and Amazon Prime (as of March 25, 2025)—though his mother still insists it’s “really tough to purchase” due to her ongoing confusion with digital platforms.
