Good Monster is a Buffalo-based band that fuses modern alternative with the raw soul of classic rock. Fronted by songwriters Matt Wood and Patrick Santora, and rounded out by John Webster and new guitarist Jimmy Z, the group delivers a sound that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly current. With influences ranging from The Black Keys and Spoon to Cage the Elephant, The Rolling Stones, and The Beatles, Good Monster taps into rock’s rich history while carving out a style all their own.
Orange Zest is a Buffalo-based five-piece band blending modern rock and contemporary pop with inviting melodies and raw emotion. Formed from a shared passion for honest songwriting, the group draws equal inspiration from Canadian alternative acts and classic rock heroes of the ’70s and beyond. With a sound that’s both powerful and approachable, Orange Zest aims to keep the spirit of rock alive while resonating with listeners searching for meaning in an ever-changing world.
Amateur Hockey Club blends ’90s alternative hooks with contemporary emo songwriting, landing somewhere between Third Eye Blind and Hot Mulligan. Their lyrics explore the ongoing search for place and purpose with irony and good-natured self-deprecation. Following their 2020 EP Figure Myself Out and a 2022 single series produced by RJ DeMarco, the band released a string of self-produced singles in 2024–2025 that quickly became fan favorites among the “AHC Nation.” Known for their energetic live shows, AHC has played stages across Buffalo, Rochester, Fredonia, and Erie, including a main stage slot at the 2022 Music is Art Festival and a straight-to-vinyl live session with LeestaVall Sound Recordings.
