Molly Conrad is a Buffalo-based indie-folk pop singer/songwriter whose honest, introspective lyrics and acoustic guitar work lay bare heartfelt stories of heartbreak and self-discovery. Originally from Iowa, she honed her craft in Nashville and has toured extensively across the U.S. and Europe. Her debut at The Caz will feature a full band and new material from her upcoming EP. Kicking off the night is cerebral indie-folk artist Bryan Dubay, known for his atmospheric and thought-provoking originals—this is a show you won’t want to miss.
Bryan Dubay is quickly emerging as a standout voice in Buffalo’s indie scene and beyond, with a sound that defies easy categorization. Drawing inspiration from artists like Fleet Foxes, Tame Impala, R.E.M., and Elliott Smith, his music blends elements of post-indie, post-punk, and indietronica into jangly open-tuned guitar hooks and lush vocal harmonies. His sophomore release, Detritus (Admirable Traits Records), has been praised as a “wonderfully rich and glittering slice of indie rock gold” (Mystic Sons) with a “driving, modern, dancey vibe” (Prism Reviews). As Wild is Calling put it, “The Buffalo buzz is worth the hype… Bryan Dubay is a dangerous man, and he’s on our radar as a rising star.”
